ASIS NYC Chapter Liaison: Denise Niles

The Women in Security Working Group’s mission is to provide support and assistance to women in the security industry, as well as to inspire those interested in entering the security industry through tailored programming and mentoring. ASIS Women in Security equips women with mentoring, tools, and resources to help members advance to leadership roles in the industry.

While this group’s benefits and programs are tailored for women, we encourage
and welcome the participation of all members who are dedicated to the support of
women in the security industry.

Denise Niles, ASIS NYC Chapter, Women in Security Liaison, along with Kristen Bigler, Heli Shild and Hope Shild, arranged the WIS Summer Brunch held on August 30, 2018.  Approximately 30 members and invited guests enjoyed a pleasant brunch on the patio of the Wheeltapper Pub. It was a pleasant afternoon for catching up with old friends and meeting new ones, while enjoying a cool beverage and a meal. It was also a time for sharing info about the rapidly expanding security industry. Lynn Brown, our Chapter Chairman, and Don Francisco, Vice-Chairman, were on hand to provide a warm welcome to each and every attendee.

About Wheeltapper Pub

The ASIS NYC Chapter has held four networking events at the Wheeltapper, a great Irish pub, located very near to Grand Central Terminal. The patio is a lovely oasis-a respite from the fractiousness of the the Big Apple. It is a great pub for gatherings both large and small.
