I am happy to announce that the NYC Chapter of ASIS International has opened our 2018 Scholarship Program and now accepting applications from qualified students. This year we are pleased to increase the JOSEPH A. SPILLANE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP to five awards of $3000 each. The SECURITY OFFICER SCHOLARSHIP FOR UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE and SECURITY MANAGEMENT/PROFESSIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR GRADUATE DEGREE have been eliminated due to a lack of participation.

 

Joe Spillane was one of the founding members of the NYC Chapter of ASIS International and a driving force to the growth of the Chapter in its early years. He created our “Scholarship Fund” which provides scholarships to children and grandchildren of Chapter members. This fund has since risen to the current level of $15,000 in scholarships distributed each year. When one thinks of greatness and commitment to excellence in an organization one name stands out in the New York City Chapter of ASIS…that of Joe Spillane.

 

Applications for all scholarships are now open. Applicants must make their submission on the Chapter website by September 14, 2018 at the link below using the form provided.

 

The Joseph A. Spillane scholarships will be awarded at the October meeting.  The submitter/applicant does NOT need to be present during the meeting; winners will be notified via email. Questions my be submitted to scholarship@asisnyc.org
