Jason Brown of Apollo Security International was selected as the NYC Chapter Security Officer of Year for 2014 and awarded a $1,500 check at the December holiday meeting. Mr. Brown was nominated by Kenneth Solosky, Lenox Hill Hospital, for his highest standards of professionalism during a security incident where he was stationed.
On Tuesday, August 26th Security Officer Jason Brown was assigned to the Lenox Hill Hospital 8th floor psychiatric inpatient unit when he physically interceded during an assault preventing further injury and saving a life. Officer Brown prevented injury of a mental health technician during an assault by a patient by engaging the patient and de-escalating the situation to safety. Chairman Anderson said “It is with appreciation for Jason Brown’s distinguished service that we award him as Security Officer of 2014”.
