Members fought the blizzard snow storm to attend the February Chapter meeting at the Mc Graw Hill conference center. LT COL Jerome Hatfield, NJSP (Ret.) FEMA R2 Regional Administrator provided an informative presentation about the need for public-private partnerships for both planning and recovery from serious events. We’re pleased to announce the 2014 ASIS New York City Chapter’s Person of the Year: Joseph A. D’Amico, 14th Superintendent of the New York State Police. He will be honored at a special luncheon on Friday, March 14, during the ASIS 24th NYC Security Conference & Expo.

Prior to his confirmation as Superintendent, D’Amico had a 27-year career with the NYC Police Department and ultimately rose to the rank of Deputy Chief. He previously served as Chief Investigator for the Office of the New York State Attorney General, where he oversaw and coordinated the efforts of 300 criminal and civil investigators statewide.
