The New York City Chapter of ASIS International held its first meeting of the New Year on January 20, 2017 at the Yale Club in New York City coincident with the US Presidential Inauguration. The peaceful transfer of power occurred between outgoing Chairman Craig Schwab, CPP and Chairman elect Lynn S. Brown. The Officers for the 2017 to 2019 administration were sworn by Michael Greco, US Marshal of the Southern District of New York taking their oath. The new officers of the New York Chapter are:
Chairman – Lynn S. Brown
Vice Chairman – Don Francisco, CPP
Treasurer – Steve Sacchetti, MSM
Secretary – Brian H. Reich, CPP
Sargent at Arms – Manny Gomez. CPP

Past immediate Chairman Craig Schwab, CPP held his last meeting as Chairman and introduced the incoming Chapter Officers to take their oaths. We thank Craig for the tireless contributions he has made to the NYC Chapter for the past eight years as Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary. Craig will be continuing his service with the NYC Chapter on the Advisory Board and as the Co-Chair of the Trade Show Committee.

Our Chairman couldn’t be successful without the support of their wives for the family sacrifice they make of time and effort to the NYC Chapter. Andrea Schwab, wife of Craig and Francine Brown, wife of Lynn were thanked by the Chapter at the meeting for their support and given a bouquet of flowers as our token of appreciation.

The NYC Chapter looks forward to a new administration that has already announced plans for enhanced member education, an exciting Security Conference and Expo at the Javits Center, and new initiatives for our Women in Security and Young Professional groups. We are honored to announce that New York City Police Commissioner James P. O’Neill has accepted the NYC Chapter 2017 Person of the Year award to be presented to him on June 8th at the 27th ASIS New York City Security Conference and Expo during the luncheon.
